Authorities recovered the body of a man who apparently drowned Sunday in the St. Croix River in Washington County.
The victim was with his family at Point Douglas Park and Beach in Denmark Township near Hastings when he went underwater about 5:05 p.m., authorities said.
Efforts to locate him were unsuccessful, and divers and other emergency personnel were called to the scene.
The body was recovered at 6:23 p.m.
About 8 p.m., authorities still were at the park with family members.
The victim's name has not been released.
