GEORGIAN BAY TOWNSHIP, Ontario — Police say a 70-year-old woman is dead and five people are injured after a boat collided with a small island on a lake in Ontario.
Ontario Provincial police say two vessels were travelling together when one collided with the island on Six Mile Lake north of Barrie.
Police say Beverly MacDonald, of Kingston, was killed.
The boat's operator and four passengers suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police were investigating the Saturday night crash.
