A Blaine man killed Friday in a two-vehicle crash in Maple Grove has been identified by authorities.
Tony D. Bjorklund, 50, was driving near the intersection of County Road 81 and Elm Creek Boulevard around 12:10 p.m. Friday when his car collided with another. A cause has not yet been determined, but police said alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
Bjorklund was airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he died of blunt-force injuries about 90 minutes later, according to the Hennepin County medical examiner.
Maple Grove police and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating.
