Erbert & Gerbert's Sandwich Shop is expanding its presence in the south metro, opening an outlet next month in Eagan.
The new shop will be at 1270 Lone Oak Road and will be operated by Matthew Lentsch, his father, Greg, and his uncle Tom Lentsch. Matthew Lentsch has been in the sandwich business for 10 years, previously managing a Jimmy John's in St. Paul and an Erbert & Gerbert's in Minneapolis.
Erbert & Gerbert's got its start about 20 years ago in Eau Claire, Wis., and the chain has since grown to about 50 stores, mostly in the Midwest. There are currently 13 shops in the Twin Cities, including outlets in Apple Valley and Lakeville.
Foreclosures still declining
Foreclosures on residential and commercial properties continue to fall dramatically, according to figures from the Dakota County Community Development Agency.
Sheriff's sales for the first two months of this year totaled 129, the agency's foreclosure summary report said. That's down from 215 for the same period in 2013 and substantially fewer than the 291 through the end of February in 2012.
The report didn't break out how many of the foreclosures were homes and how many were commercial or industrial buildings.

The new clinic will be in front of the SuperTarget on Pilot Knob Road and adjacent to the Wells Fargo Bank. WeCare CEO Nam Pham said that work on the facility has begun and is expected to be completed in the fall.
