The Fairview Lakes Auxiliary pledged to raise $50,000 for the Lakes Cancer Clinic at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Forest Lake, and it came through on its commitment three years early.

Last year, the auxiliary made the pledge and said it would provide the money to be used to expand the clinic over a five-year period. In May, auxiliary president Jenny Mayer delivered a $30,000 check to complete its obligation.

The pledge represents the largest single donation made by the auxiliary, which raises money from proceeds from the Fairview Lakes Medical Center gift shop and other fundraising events.

The Lakes Cancer Clinic and Infusion Services is operated by the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview in Minneapolis.
