As the saying goes, there's nothing cooler than a parade through downtown Binghamton.

Anticipating their beloved Baby Sens completing a Calder Cup championship, the city of Binghamton, N.Y. announced plans for a parade celebrating the title either Wednesday or Friday.

Binghamton holds a 3-2 series' advantage with Game 6 tonight and Game 7 Thursday night, if necessary, in Houston.

From the Office of the Mayor:

The City of Binghamton will honor the Binghamton Senators with a parade in anticipation of winning the Calder Cup. The parade will be scheduled according to the following scenarios:

Scenario 1: If the Binghamton Senators win tonight, Tuesday, June 7th, the parade will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th at 6:00pm
Scenario 2: If the Binghamton Senators win on Thursday, June 9th, the parade will be held on Friday, June 10th at 6:00pm.

The parade will be proceeding from the Main/Arthur Street intersection to the Washington/Stuart Street intersection ending in front of the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena where the Mayor's Office will host a press conference.

As potential elimination wasn't going to offer the Aeros enough motivation tonight, the premature announcement by Binghamton should provide a little extra locker-room material. In fact, if I'm Mike Yeo, I'd paste the parade route on the front of the bench.
