Much cooler weather will sweep over the Southeast in the wake of a coldfront on Sunday following summer-like late-week warmth.The sharpest dip in temperatures will be felt over the Carolinas and Virginia.

High temperatures on Sunday will be 65 F to 70 F over eastern Virginia intonorthern North Carolina and 70 F to 75 F in South Carolina to southern NorthCarolina.

This is in contrast to the widespread mid-80s to lower 90s over these areasFriday and again Saturday.

Significant cooling will also flow over Alabama and Georgia into northernFlorida.

The cooldown will not last long, as the Southeast will warm in earnest duringthe coming week. Indeed, by Thursday afternoon, most of the Southeast will befeeling summer-like conditions once again.
