A Waseca man who was riding his bike in southern Minnesota was struck and killed by a motorist early Tuesday morning.
Anthony M. Hodge, 30, was cycling northbound on Hwy. 13, north of Waseca, around 6:40 a.m. when he was struck by an SUV. He died at the scene.
The driver, identified as Cynthia J. Newman, 23, of Waseca, was not hurt. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. The State Patrol said the road was wet at the time.
