Forget those tame daytime strolls through the galleries — a night at the museum is the most exciting way to experience our best art institutions. All have entered the late-night game, but the grand dame of Twin Cities museums throws the most consistent soirees. Every Thursday night, see a different side of the MIA, especially this summer. The themed evenings include one dedicated to craft beer, another showcasing local bands, a Summer Party June 1 featuring Doomtree and Morris Day & the Time and, of course, the popular Bike Night on July 18. OK, the MIA doesn't stay up super-late (Thursdays go till 9 p.m.) but it knows how to party. The museum even has its own beer sponsor (cheers, Summit!). 2400 3rd Av.
