Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and his players have heard all week about how Mike Zimmer shut down the Patriots offense last season when he was the defensive coordinator for the Bengals.

In that game, the Bengals sacked Patriots quarterback Tom Brady four times and disrupted his timing with his receivers. Brady completed just 47.4 percent of his passes and his touchdown streak was snapped in a 13-6 Bengals win. The Patriots were 1-for-12 on third down that afternoon.

The Bengals blitzed on just 14 of his 42 dropbacks, according to Pro Football Focus. When they did blitz, they sacked Brady three times and forced him to throw incomplete on seven of his 11 attempts.

Belichick was asked his morning if he expected Zimmer to stick with same game plan Sunday.

"Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if they Xeroxed the same game plan," Belichick said. "They did a good job. Yeah, we're certainly prepared for that, if they just do the same thing they did last year. It wouldn't shock me at all, until we show we can do something about it. We didn't do much last year."

Asked about Belichick's comment later in the day, Zimmer shook his head and made a "psssh" sound.

"I don't know. It was a completely different team," he said. "I mean, they didn't have [tight end Rob] Gronkowski last year. I don't know. I know he's going for win No. 200 and I'm going for No. 2, so."

One reporter pointed out to Zimmer that in today's digital age, he would probably PDF it anyway.

"I don't even know how to do those things," Zimmer said, getting a few laughs from reporters.
