Michael Beasley did some individual work -- jogging, exercise bike, lateral-movement drills -- at the Wolves' morning shootaround today at the sparkly new Amway Center in Orlando and is the classic "game-time decision" tonight against the Magic.

Beasley bruised his left hip in a nasty fall underneath the basket last night in the second quarter against the Heat.

He made the layup and drew the foul on the play, but was in such pain, he had to be helped to the locker room and was unable to shoot the free throw.

So Kosta Koufos did so for him, which meant he automatically, by NBA rules, was done for the night.

X-rays were negative and the team called his injury a "left hip contusion," or a bruised hip.

Kurt Rambis turned to rookie Wes Johnson to replace Beasley when the starters went back out on the court after halftime last night.

The Magic unexpectedly had last night off.

It was supposed to play the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, but the game was abruptly postponed after worked loosened ceiling materials during ongoing renovations and material fell, raising concerns about an asbestos risk. Those risks were determined to be unfounded after the game was postponed.
