Hot Dish readers out there who are fans of Christopher Walken's famous "Cowbell" skit from Saturday Night Live will probably enjoy this afternoon find.
Sen. Al Franken, visiting the Pine City Elementary School today, offered to play cowbell with the student band.
In the video below, the band leader (emulating the SNL skit) repeatedly tells Franken to play louder and "explore the space."
He then lets loose Walken's legendary line: "I got a fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell" (around the 1:00 mark).
Franken can be seen in the back left of the video, pounding on the instrument with growing intensity -- especially toward the end.
