Baby dies of injuries suffered in North Branch crash

April 23, 2013 at 1:11AM

A 4-month-old girl has died of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle collision last week in North Branch.

North Branch police identified her as Mackenzie Cash of North Branch, who died Saturday morning from her injuries. She was in a van driven by Joshua Cash, 30.

The van collided with a North Branch school bus shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday. The bus was empty except for the driver, Kim Schwinn, of Rush City. She and the elder Cash were treated for minor injuries and released from a Wyoming hospital.

Police said slippery roads appeared to be the primary factor in the crash on Forest Boulevard near Crestview Drive. They released no further information, and didn't specify the relationship of the van driver to the baby. The State Patrol is still investigating the crash.
