Long before Las Vegas discovered the meaning of the word, discretion was the order of the day at State Department heaquarters in Foggy Bottom.
It was no different Monday night when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton put on dinner for Minnesota Democrat Amy Klobuchar and a bipartisan gathering of women senators. "What's said in that room stays in that room," Klobuchar said. "And of course we never talk about the male senators."
What was different this time was the venue for the dinner, which is usually held at the Capitol. The former First Lady, by Klobuchar's report, was in good spirits. "She gave us a lot of good stories about her life." Such as? Wouldn't we like to know.
