Apple Valley star guard Gary Trent Jr. led the USA men's U17 basketball team to a FIBA world championship on Sunday.

Trent scored a game-high 17 points to go along with four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the 96-56 championship rout over Turkey.

The U.S. finished the tournament 7-0 and won every game by double-digits. Trent started all seven games and finished with an average of 12.7 points, the second-most on the team, and 3.9 rebounds per game.
