St. Paul-based medical device company Apnex Medical Inc. named healthcare marketing executive Charles (Chas) S. McKhann as its president and CEO on Wednesday.
McKhann was worldwide vice president of marketing for the Cardiac Rhythm Management division of Boston Scientific. Before working at Boston Scientific, McKhann worked at medical device company Cordis Corp., helping launch the first drug eluting stent in the marketplace.
Apnex Medical, founded in 2006, is developing a medical device to treat obstructive sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea is a condition caused when patients have pauses in breathing when they are asleep, causing them to have fragmented rest and excessive tiredness during the day.
