Second-year safety Antone Exum fractured a rib and injured the AC joint in his shoulder in yesterday's loss to the Seahawks and could miss multiple weeks due to the injuries, according to a team source.

Exum suffered the injuries during a first-quarter collision with one of the Seahawks tight ends. He toughed it out, remained in the game and played all but one of the 67 defensive snaps.

Exum made five tackles in the loss and forced and recovered a fumble by Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls on the opening drive.

Exum started the past two games due to knee injuries to starters Harrison Smith and Andrew Sendejo. Smith then injured his hamstring against the Seahawks and could miss Thursday's game against the Cardinals. Fellow safety Robert Blanton is also dealing with a knee injury.

None of the four safeties on the 53-man roster practiced today.
