Randy Meier is the new solo anchor of FOX 9's 10 p.m. newscast.

Meier is essentially replacing Marni Hughes, who left the station in July. Hughes co-anchored the 10 p.m. newscast with Jeff Passolt. Passolt and Heidi Collins will continue to co-anchor FOX 9 newscast at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Meier will also contribute to the 5 p.m. newscast as an anchor, reporter and in other capacities, said Claudia Russo, PR exec for FOX Television Stations.

Meier, a longtime anchor at KSTP-TV in the Twin Cities, left to work in New York at MSNBC.
