The gun is mightier. Lucasfilm/Paramount The way I've heard the story told, the best joke in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" came about because Harrison Ford had the runs. While Steven Spielberg was filming in Tunisia, everyone in the cast and crew got sick from the food, except for Spielberg, who only ate can after can of Spaghetti-os. When Ford came on set to do an elaborate fight scene envisioned as a long battle between his bullwhip and a towering swordsman's scimitar-wielding, the star showed up sick and said, "I ate something bad last night and I only have an hour of work in me today. Couldn't I just shoot the guy?" A couple of crew members started laughing, which convinced Spielberg that it would be much funnier if Indy "just shot the guy". This weekend a monthlong tribute to Spielberg's blockbusters kicks off at the Trylon Microcinema, that cute screening room on Minnehaha Av., three blocks south of Lake Street (3258 Minnehaha Av.
