The two editions of NBC's "America's Got Talent" were the only prime-time programs to eclipse the 9 million mark in viewers last week, the Nielsen Co. said.

Three editions of CBS' "Big Brother" landed in the top 12 most-watched shows for the week. ABC's knock-'em-down "Wipeout" series and the summer finale of Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" were also among the more popular shows, Nielsen said.

ABC's premiere episode of its "Dating in the Dark" series, which tests couples' compatibility when they can't see each other, reached only 4.4 million people last week.

CBS won the week, averaging 6.4 million viewers in prime time (4.1 rating, 7 share), followed by NBC's average 4.9 million (3.1, 6). Fox was third with 4.8 million (2.9, 5), ABC had 4.3 million (2.7, 5), ION Television had 1.3 million (0.9, 2) and CW had 960,000 (0.6, 1).

NBC's "Nightly News" topped the evening newscasts with an average of 7.5 million viewers (5.0, 11). ABC's "World News" was second with 6.8 million (4.6, 10) and the "CBS Evening News" had 5.3 million viewers (3.5, 8).

A ratings point represents 1.149 million households, or 1 percent of the nation's estimated 114.9 million TV homes. The share is the percentage of in-use televisions tuned to a given show.
