Priority, if elected: My top priority, if elected, is accessibility. For Minneapolis to thrive, we must diversify the voices being heard within City Hall. We must create authentic conversations that enlarge the circle of collaborators. I will advocate for the elimination of ranked choice voting. We have taken one of the most accessible election processes in the country, and made it unnecessarily complicated, cumbersome and confusing. I will advocate for a signature requirement, in the form of a petition, for a candidate's name to appear on the ballot. We will work tirelessly to raise the minimum wage in Minneapolis.

Ideas for job/population growth: If you create them, they will come. Work with business owners, educators and community members to match community needs with business goals.

Ideas to reduce crime: Honesty. There are serious issues that are being ignored for the sake of political correctness. Hard truths lead to better measures of accountability.

Ideas to lower property taxes: Honesty. Typically, you can't cut without leaving a wound, or ending up with a scar. The key is precision. We will work to minimize both.

Did you support or oppose the Minnesota Vikings stadium package, approved by the city in May 2012? Oppose. Decision-makers and opinion leaders wanted temporary relief for long-term challenges, and were willing to pay any price for it. That price was too high.

Should the city build a $200 million streetcar line along Nicollet and Central Avenues? No.

Should the mayor be allowed to appoint some school board members? No.
