In news that is sure to send shockwaves through trench coat enthusiasts, the Lingerie Football League -- including your Minnesota Valkyrie -- has suspended operations and will not play in 2012. Per the Business Journal:
Instead, the league will resume with a schedule in the spring and summer of 2013. "We believe ultimately LFL Football in the U.S. and abroad is a better product in the spring and summer months," league commissioner Mitchell Mortaza said in a statement.
The local Valkyrie finished 1-3 last season. If you had no idea what the Lingerie Football League was, well, it's pretty much what it sounds like.
