We noted in today's paper that three high-profile metro QBs have been cleared to play after suffering injuries: DeLaSalle's Evan Williams, Stillwater's Miles Heller and Cretin-Derham Hall's Mark Alt. All three play for teams with byes tonight but all could be back in action in Saturday's section semifinals.

Well, add a fourth QB to the list: Eagan junior Jameson Parsons will play for the Wildcats tonight against Hastings. He hasn't played since suffering a broken right collarbone (throwing side) in Week 2.

Parsons threw for 175 yards and two TDs in a season-opening 37-36 victory over Lakeville South. Eagan was up 14-0 against Lakeville North in Week 2 when he was injured; the Wildcats ended up losing that game 29-14.

Senior Zach Zenner stepped in for the last six games in running the Wildcats' version of the spread offense. He ran for more than 800 yards in those games and threw for another 400-plus, helping Eagan to a 4-4 regular-season record. With Parsons back and Zenner still heavily involved in the offense, Eagan could be a sneaky matchup for Cretin-Derham Hall in Saturday's section semifinal if the Wildcats can get past Hastings (3-5) tonight.
