Eva Barr has crafted a solo show from the diaries of an anonymous woman who watched the Russian army advance into Berlin in the spring of 1945. Barr is a very skilled performer who treats the material with tough, unflinching honesty. The woman is raped repeatedly until she finds "a lone wolf" among the Russians who keeps the pack away. It's a grim and compelling testament to survival, gallows humor and unsentimental recollection. Barr might benefit from a director to help pacing and movement but overall this is a substantial piece of work. (1 p.m. Sat., 8:30 p.m. Mon., 7 p.m. Thu., 4 p.m. Sat.; Nimbus, 1517 Central Av. NE)
