The Timberwolves' Karl-Anthony Towns shopped with Jaidon Jackson, 8, of Rosemount, whose father is in the Minnesota Army National Guard, on Thursday. It's part of the team's annual project with the Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation in partnership with United Heroes League. It hosted 15 children from low-income households that have or recently had a parent in the military deployed overseas for their annual Holiday Shopping for Kids event. The Wolves surprised the kids during a basketball clinic with an announcement that each of them will receive a $500 shopping spree at Target in downtown Minneapolis, with Timberwolves players helping them shop.
