In case you missed it, Minneapolis teacher Richard Schwartz contributed a lovely paean to his profession in Tuesday morning's paper, as he nears the end of the last of his 41 years of teaching.

Disclaimer: It was Schwartz who as a middle-grades teacher at Clara Barton Open School kindled a love of Shakespeare in this scribe's younger son. Schartz is retiring from Southwest High School, where he has served as Internaitonal Baccalaureate program coordinator and English teacher.
