A peek at the future riverfront ice cream factory

Now that Izzy's Ice Cream has received the green light to build a new facility along the Minneapolis riverfront, the devil is in the details.

Now that Izzy's Ice Cream has received the green light to build a new facility along the Minneapolis riverfront, the devil is in the details.

The Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association will hear a presentation next week on the proposed look of the new Izzy's facility.

The project garnered vocal opposition from a nearby residents this January who were worried about the implications of moving a factory into a residential area.

Developers have hired well-known architect David Salmela to design the space. Here are his initial renderings:
