No news is good news when it comes to traffic, and we hardly had any news today. As a result, traffic clipped right along with only a few pockets of off and on again congestion.

Currently the one big traffic jam is on northbound 494 from Hwy. 55 to the Fish Lake Interchange. Road work has the left lane closed at Bass Lake Road. The trip from 394 to 94/694 is up to 20 minutes.

Look out for debris in the lanes of westbound 94 at 3rd Avenue in dowtown Minneapolis.

Earlier, a semitrailer truck stalled out on the ramp from northbound Hwy. 100 to Humboldt Avenue in Brooklyn Center during the 6 a.m. hour. The disabled rig was towed away before 7 a.m.

Crashes were few and far between. One of the most spectacular was a vehicle that got tangled up in the cable median barrier on I-694 at the Hwy. 36 curve in Pine Springs. The left lane of both directions of 694 were blocked while rescue workers freed the car and the driver.

That's it for today. Enjoy the weekend and brace for the first blast of winter.
