Wednesday's rush hour was certainly more tame than yesterday when it was crashapalooza out on the roads.

Today, we have a handful of wrecks, but none of them created any sizeable delays or misery. Drive times held steady for most of the rush with congestion on northbound 35W creating the slowest traffic. That is still the case at this hour.

A wall painting project hampered the drive for eastbound 94 drivers through Minneapolis. The right lane is closed from Huron Blvd. to Hwy. 280 and that created delays from Portland Avenue.

Already a number of squads from departments across the state and metro area are making their way to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 1575 Charlton Street in West St. Paul. Expect road closures in the vicinity of the church today.

The funeral precession will exit the church and head north on Charlton Street, then west on Butler Avenue. It will go north for a short time on Delaware Avenue before heading south on Dodd Road to Mendota Heights Road where it will head west. The procession will continue on Mendota Heights Road and head north on Lemay Lake Road. The procession will continue north on Hwy. 13 and enter the cemetery from Acacia Boulevard.

Parking is banned today on streets in the area bounded by Emerson Avenue on the north, Delaware Avenue on the west, Wentworth Avenue on the south and Charlton Street on the west.

That is it for today. I'll be back Thursday with more live traffic reports and news.
