Tuesday's rush hour produced a handful of accidents and stalls that slowed drivers, but most commuters experienced a normal trip to work or school.

A crash around 8 a.m. on eastbound 94 at the Lowry Hill Tunnel produced a few anxious moments for those involved and tied up traffic for about 15 minutes. That, along with a stall on eastbound 394 at Dunwoody Blvd. at the same time created a backup to near Hwy. 100.

Both cleared out and traffic has returned to normal.

Drivers on eastbound Hwy. 212 were inconvenienced with a crash around 7:45 a.m. at Prairie Center Drive while it was ducks crossing the freeway that had drivers slowing down on I-494 at Robert Street.

Those minor events were typical of what happened across the system as traffic moved without too much trouble.

Northstar trains ran on time and no word of any trouble on the Green or Blue lines.

Here is a warning for 35E drivers in Maplewood and St. Paul. New lane configurations and closings go into effect tomorrow between Hwy. 36 and downtown St. Paul. I'll have a full run down a bit later today, so check back.
