A light dusting of snow, dropping temperatures and refreezing conspired to create a slippery drive into the office for those how had to go in today.

The State Patrol responded to numerous spin outs and crashes related to deteriorating road conditions. At one time we have four spin outs and crashes on southbound 35W between 46th Street and the Crosstown.

During the 8 a.m. hour, I-694 was like a skating rink between Lexington Avenue and 35W and MnDOT called for crews to apply chemicals to make things better. At this hour, look for a crash eastbound at Hwy. 10 and westbound at Lexington Avenue.

On southbound 35E, emergency personnel are working to clear a rollover on southbound 35E at County Road H2.

The ramp from westbound 94 to 494 in Woodbury is blocked with a spin out.

On Hwy 96, look for a crash near Quail Road in Stillwater. Authorities are calling for MnDOT crews to put chemicals down.

Roads also are iced up on Hwy. 212 in the southwestern suburbs of Chaska and Chanhassen.
