An 7-year-old girl died Sunday after a medical emergency at Lake Minnetonka in downtown Wayzata.
Emergency crews arrived at the dock behind Cov restaurant on Wayzata Bay about 5 p.m. in response to a 911 call reporting that the girl was unresponsive. She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she died.
The girl's name and cause of death have not been released. The death was not a drowning, according to Rebecca Gilbuena, spokeswoman for the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.
The Sheriff's Office is investigating.
