8 a.m. update: Trio of crashes makes for tough going on 694

Three separate wrecks have traffic on eastbound 694 through Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park crawling. Things bog down at Hemlock Lane and don't loosen until East River Road. Up ahead, eastbound 694 slows at Central Avenue where a crash is taking out the left shoulder.

Three separate wrecks have traffic on eastbound 694 through Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park crawling. Things bog down at Hemlock Lane and don't loosen until East River Road. Up ahead, eastbound 694 slows at Central Avenue where a crash is taking out the left shoulder.

The trip along westbound Hwy. 36 is 15 to 20 minutes thanks to a crash at Dale Street and slow conditions on 35W from Hwy. 280 to Hennepin Avenue.
