8 a.m. update: Current drive times

It has turned into a maddening drive on many routes with congestion crippling the drive on many routes.

Traffic is barely moving on eastbound 94 approaching the Lowry Hill Tunnel. The same is true on southbound Hwy. 100 approaching the work zone at Cedar Lake Road and all along I-494 through Plymouth and Maple Grove.

A new crash on eastbound 694 at 35W is not helping the flow in the northern suburbs.

Look for a left-lane blocking wreck causing minor delays on northbound Hwy. 13 on the I-35W overpass.

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 23 minutes

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 15 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 31 minutes.
