8:40 a.m. update: Still stacked up on 35W in north metro

Things are better than they were on southbound 35W through Shoreview and Mounds View, but you'll still need an extra 20 to 25 minutes to get from 95th Avenue to I-694.

Things are better than they were on southbound 35W through Shoreview and Mounds View, but you'll still need an extra 20 to 25 minutes to get from 95th Avenue to I-694.

The reason is drivers are slowing to take a peek at the semitrailer truck the overturned on the ramp from northbound 35W to westbound 694. That ramp has been closed for nearly 2 hours.

Southbound 35E remains tight from Little Canada Road to 94. That is 15 minutes.

In the south metro, look for minor congestion on northbound 169 from County Road 18 to 494.

A crash on northbound 35W at Hwy. 13 had cleared, and congestion is loosening up.

Northbound Cedar Avenue is moving quite swiftly; no problems there.

The delays on westbound 494 between Cedar Avenue and Hwy. 100 are now down to 10 minutes, so improvement there.
