8:40 a.m. update: Still rotten on the Crosstown

Even at this late stage of the rush hour, the Crosstown is still a mess. A crash on the eastbound side at Gleason Road in Edina is the beginning of the trouble. Traffic is creeping along over to 35W.

Even at this late stage of the rush hour, the Crosstown is still a mess. A crash on the eastbound side at Gleason Road in Edina is the beginning of the trouble. Traffic is creeping along over to 35W.

Westbound traffic is moving quite slow from 34th Avenue to Penn Avenue. Plan on 30 minutes there.

I-494 in the Bloomington strip is tight in both directions from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 169. That is about 20 minutes.

A crash in eastbound 94 at Maple Grove Pkwy. is gone, but look for slow traffic from Brockton Lane to 494.

We have a minor delay for drivers on northbound Cedar Avenue due to a wreck on the right shoulder at 66th Street.

Traffic cameras make it appear as if Portland Avenue is still open over I-94. That bridge is supposed to close for repair and remain closed until August.
