8:35 a.m. update: Still crammed on 35W

The drive on northbound 35W from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis has not improved in the past 20 minutes. It's still a crawl along that stretch. A crash at 42nd Street has been moved over to the right shoulder.

The drive on northbound 35W from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis has not improved in the past 20 minutes. It's still a crawl along that stretch. A crash at 42nd Street has been moved over to the right shoulder.

That is affecting traffic on westbound Crosstown, which is slow from Xerxes Avenue over to 35W.

Westbound 94 also is crammed from Hwy. 280 over to the Lowry Hill Tunnel. That is 12 to 14 minutes.

Commuters on westbound 494 can plan on 23 minutes from Hwy. 5 to Hwy. 100. No crashes, just lots of folks passing through the area.
