8:35 a.m. update: Problems persist on 494 in Bloomington

Westbound 494 continues to be clogged even long after a big crash at Portland Avenue cleared. Traffic creeps along from 35E to Hwy. 100, a 20 to 25-minute trip.

Westbound 494 continues to be clogged even long after a big crash at Portland Avenue cleared. Traffic creeps along from 35E to Hwy. 100, a 20 to 25-minute trip.

Westbound Crosstown is not much better with congestion firmly in place from 28th Avenue to Hwy. 100. That is 16- to 20-minutes.

We have two crashes of note on the system The first is on southbound 35E at Tart Lake Road. The other is on southbound 35W at County Road at County Road J. The bigger slow ups are ahead from Hwy. 10 to about County Road E2.
