The combination of rain, heavy traffic and untimely accidents have created adverse conditions on some major routes, making drive times rise.

Among the worst bottlenecks is on westbound 94 from Manning Avenue over to Hwy. 280. That is taking up to 30 minutes. In Minneapolis, somebody threw an object onto the freeway at Portland Avenue.

Northbound 35W is near 30 minutes from the Burnsville split up to downtown Minneapolis, while northbound 35E is 22 minutes to downtown St. Paul.

Eastbound 394 is bound from Hwy. 100 into downtown Minneapolis.

Southbound 35W is still trying to recover from an earlier wreck on the Mississippi River Bridge. Commuters from the north metro can plan on 30 minutes from 95th Avenue in Blaine into downtown.

Meanwhile, westbound Hwy. 36 is tight from Hwy. 61 over to 35W. We have wrecks at Edgerton Street and Fairview Avenue, making that a 24 minute trip.
