A pair of wrecks, one at Edgerton Street and another at Fairview Avenue, is making the drive on westbound Hwy. 36 longer than usual. It's 24 minutes from Hwy. 61 over to the 35W/Hwy. 280 interchange.
No mercy for southbound 35W drivers as the effect of an earlier crash has traffic crawling from Hwy. 280 to downtown Minneapolis. It's more than 35 minutes from Lake Drive into downtown Minneapolis.
It's not much better on westbound 94 from White Bear Avenue to downtown Minneapolis. That is nearly 50 minutes.
