7 a.m. update: Current drive times

A semi vs. car crash on southbound Hwy. 101 at 141st Avenue cleared about 15 minutes ago, but the backup and congestion is created has not disappeared. It's a solid line of traffic from north of County Road 37 to I-94, so plan on an extra 5 minutes coming down from Elk River.

The usual crowding is beginning to form on northbound 35W from County 42 up to the Minnesota River, and on southbound 35W from Lake Drive down to 694. Still, nothing that will set you back more than a couple minutes.

Northbound Hwy. 169 over the Minnesota River bridge and up to 494 is getting busy, so commuters there can plan on 2 to 5 extra minutes heading up to Bloomington.

Eastbound 94 from Hwy. 101 to 494: 10 minutes

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 6 minutes

Eastbound 394 from 494 to 35W via 94: 11 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 14 minutes

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 11 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 17 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 10 minutes

Northbound 35E from County 42 to downtown St. Paul: 18 minutes
