A nasty looking accident in which a vehicle went into the left ditch on northbound 35W at the downtown exits has traffic inching along from the Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis. Brake lights are coming on as far south as 66th Street.
This might be the day to try Hiawatha Avenue. Nicollet Avenue or Lyndale Avenue could be just as fast.
For westbound Crosstown drivers, look for delays from Portland Avenue over to Hwy. 100.
