At least six squad cars have surrounded a motorist who was fleeing police on Hwy. 212. They've cornered him just past Hwy. 101, but now all lanes are blocked.

Eastbound traffic is jamming up. This sounds bad. Police say this is a hostage situation.

With all lanes blocked, best to get off at Powers Blvd. and head up to Hwy. 5.
