Early morning crashes that clogged traffic in the first couple hours of the rush hour have cleared out, but a new round of wrecks have taken their place. Road conditions have been treacherous all morning and that is not improving as traffic levels pick up.

Exhaust from vehicles is freezing on the pavement creating black ice, In turn, that is bringing about lots of crashes and spin outs.

Currently a few of the troublespots include northbound Cedar Avenue at Hwy. 13. The left shoulder is blocked at Hwy. 13 and traffic comes to a halt 35E.

Both directions of Hwy. 169 continue to struggle. Crashes and spin outs between Hwy. 7 and Valley View Road have that stretch of highway slow and dangerous. Use caution if you travel through this area.

Look for a spinout on eastbound 394 near the I-94 exit in Minneapolis.
