A crash on southbound 35W at Industrial Blvd. is gone, but that has slowed the commute on westbound Hwy. 36. Brake lights come on at Lexington Avenue.

Police activity on southbound Hwy. 169 at Bass Lake Road has cleared, but traffic is still heavy in the immediate area. Give yourself about 5 extra minutes from 94 to 394.

Outside the metro area, MnDOT spokesman Jerimiah Moerke says icy conditions have left roads in difficult condition in west central Minnesota. The worst is on I-94 between Alexandria and Fergus Falls, where the interstate is closed. The State Patrol has responed to several crashes, including a few jackknifed semitrailer trucks. The road will be closed "until it is safe to pass through there."
