A pair of crashes on southbound 35W in the vicinity of 8th Street SE. and University Avenue in Minneapolis has the freeway down to a single lane. Traffic is knotted up as far back as Industrial Blvd. Cutting down on Hwy. 280 to 94 might save you time.
