Drivers on eastbound Hwy. 36 will find the highway shut down at Hwy. 5 due to police activity. Details about the operation are still sketchy. The ramp from Hwy. 5 to eastbound 36 also is closed until further notice.

In the north metro, the usual congestion on southbound 35W is in place between Lake Drive and 694. That drive is now at 13 minutes.

On eastbound 94, look for heavy traffic from Brockton Lane to 494. The drive from Hwy. 101 to 494 is 15 minutes.

It's pedestrian vs. car accident on Brooklyn Blvd. at Regent Avenue in Brooklyn Park. Use caution as you pass by.

Traffic on southbound Hwy. 169 is stacked up at Minnetonka Blvd. due to bridge work ahead between Hwy. 7 and the Crosstown. I expect that line to grow longer as the rush hour goes on. I-494 or Hwy. 100 might make a good alternate.
