6:35 a.m. update: Crowding on 35W in north and south metro

The usual congestion on southbound 35W is in place between Hwy. 10 and I-694. That's also causing traffic on eastbound Hwy. 10 to slow approaching 35W.

In the south metro, northbound I-35 is quickly filling in from County Road 50 up to the Burnsville Split. Ahead on 35W, things are heavy up to 98th Street.

It's about a 15-minute hike along northbound Hwy. 169 from County Road 18 up to Pioneer Trail in Bloomington.
