In case you missed the news, Schmidt Lake Road under Interstate 494, between Northwest Boulevard and Cheshire Parkway, in Plymouth is back open.

MnDOT had closed the road while it widened the I-494 bridge over the roadway. That was part of the MnDOT's I-494 rehabilitation project that includes adding a third lane from Hwy. 55 to the Fish Lake Interchange.

Right now, southbound 494 is busier than normal for this time of the morning.  We've got a steady stream of traffic from Bass Lake Road down to Hwy. 55.  Northbound slows through a work zone from County Road 6 up to Rockford Road.
