5:30 a.m. update: Cedar Avenue swamped with water

Heavy rains are leading to major flooding on Cedar Avenue both directions near the Mall of America. It's an absolute mess as several inches of water cover the highway from 86th Street up to near 494.

Heavy rains are leading to major flooding on Cedar Avenue both directions near the Mall of America. It's an absolute mess as several inches of water cover the highway from 86th Street up to near 494.

We've also got flash flooding on Hwy. 280 in the area of Broadway Street in northeast Minneapolis.
